Strategic Development Directions

 

 

Short Term Strategic Development Directions for RCCIT-PUT:

 

·         Integrating the Doctoral School in Computers and Information Technology into the research activity of RCCIT-PUT;

·         Aligning the center's research directions with the university research strategy;

·         Developing and aligning the masters programs along the research directions of RCCIT-PUT;

·         Intensifying the activity of obtaining research funding from competitions: at national level mainly from the Romanian Academy, Ministry of Education and Research, National Research Funding Agency in Higher Education, and internationally mainly from the European Union;

·         Directing the applied research, development and innovation activity towards the needs of the area's industry; intensifying the collaboration with industrial research and development groups.

 

Long Term Strategic Development Directions for RCCIT-PUT:

 

·         Integrating the research activity of RCCIT-PUT in the European Research Area;

·         Intensifying and consolidating the collaboration relations with the universities and research centers in Romania, by jointly accessing research funding and stimulating the mobility of researchers;

·         Identifying and establishing research relationships with universities and  research centers from the European Union;

·         Accessing research funding jointly with research labs from EU universities, mainly within the European FP7 and Horizon 2020 programs

·         Identifying and trying existing mechanisms for research results valorification (patenting, technology transfer, start-up/spin-off, etc)

·         AC_T_PMT15: IMS integration Part 2, CATCH Rollout and maintenance for BSW and RTE

·         Energy efficiency of multicore embedded and mobile systems

·         Energy efficient communication protocols and interconnecting topologies in wireless sensors networks

·         FPGA prototyping – multicore system on chip, accelerators,  codes

·         Instrumentation and measurement of energy consumption

·         Semi-automatic restructuring techniques for software systems

·         Testability assessment and testing automation in software systems

·         Security analysis for software and cyber-physical systems

·         Multi-purpose code analysis frameworks for software systems  

·         NoSQL databases architecture.

·         Deep Learning in Neural Networks

·         Analysis and processing of large data sets in the BigData context with Data Mining techniques
